Top biological watchlist for Golden Retrievers

Track, learn, and act with confidence. From monthly medication reminders to analysing blood results, Blueprint gives you one trusted platform to manage your dog’s health and support a longer, healthier life.

1

Metabolic & Thyroid Health

Goldens have a breed-specific predisposition for thyroid variability. Monitoring metabolic markers helps catch subtle shifts early, preserving energy and weight balance before clinical lethargy appears.

2

Cellular & Immune Defence

Immune regulation is critical. Proactive management of systemic inflammation supports long-term cellular health and telomere stability, helping to minimise the biological drivers behind the breed’s higher cancer risk.

3

Joint Structure & Cartilage

Genetics and growth patterns can accelerate cartilage wear. Early gait monitoring helps identify micro-instability, allowing you to protect joint function long before arthritis surfaces.

The silent signals of a Golden Retriever

Track, learn, and act with confidence. From monthly medication reminders to analysing blood results, Blueprint gives you one trusted platform to manage your dog’s health and support a longer, healthier life.

Subtle weight shifts or cholesterol changes can signal early thyroid variation long before visible fatigue or lethargy sets in.

Shorter strides or hesitation on uneven ground are often the first biological markers of cartilage wear, appearing years before a limp.

Persistent low-grade inflammation often indicates immune dysregulation. Tracking these markers helps you spot risks before lumps or pain appear.

Goldens should bounce back quickly. A slow increase in post-play recovery time is a key biological marker of systemic or joint fatigue.

Texture changes or dullness aren't just seasonal; they are often an early biological signal of metabolic or thyroid imbalance.

STEP 2

Procedure day

24 hours before surgery, we’ll confirm with you and your vet that everything is ready to go. Elita Genetics will deliver the collection kit to your vet ahead of the procedure. Follow your vet’s instructions for dropping off your pet.
